Christoph Brandner works as a self-employed craftsman. This activity is not entered in the commercial register, registration not being mandatory to date given the nature and the volume of the activity. Registration may take place at a later stage.

The activity is not subject to VAT, as annual turnover is below the threshold of CHF 100,000 (art. 10 para. 2 of the Swiss VAT Act).

Artisanal making of baroque woodwind instruments: recorders (soprano, alto) and oboes, made by hand in the Geneva workshop.

Instruments and information

The site is intended as a presentation: it allows neither ordering nor online payment. The instruments shown are made by hand, one piece at a time; the characteristics, woods, finishes, lead times and availability indicated are given for guidance only and may vary from one piece to another. The photographs give an account of the workshop’s work but do not constitute a contractual commitment as to the exact appearance of a future instrument. Any enquiry (bespoke order, repair, availability) is handled directly with the workshop, by email or by telephone.

All content on the site — texts, photographs, drawings, logo and layout — is protected by copyright and remains the property of Christoph Brandner, unless otherwise stated. Any reproduction or use, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is prohibited.
